Before The Island Resort became the chic, newly renovated boutique beach getaway it is today, it was one of the first hotels on Okaloosa Island. The resort was originally built in 1966 by a local family, the Tolberts, and five decades later, it remains as a staple destination on the Emerald Coast.
The Island Resort is excited to showcase their complete transformation following a 15 million dollar renovation, which was officially unveiled in April 2020. The property offers a chic, vintage Florida vibe that gives guests the feeling of walking into their dream beach home. The Island Resort boasts three swimming pools including a heated, kiddie pool, and the famous Grotto pool where guests can swim under the refreshing waterfalls, inside the Grotto and enjoy their favorite summer cocktail at a swim-up bar!
The Island Resort features convenient and decadent dining options on property including The Island Grille, The Fish House, and The Island Food Truck. The property also features a beachfront bar, Tripp Tide, which overlooks the sparkling Gulf waters.
The Island Resort is truly its own “Island” with all of the amenities for guests to enjoy without ever having to leave the property!
