We also got to try out their newest rental, a stand up pedalboard called a Hobie Mirage Eclipse. The premise is a paddleboard with pedals and handlebars so you can pedal and steer yourself through the water. It was surprisingly easier than expected, the board was thicker to help you balance and the handlebars also helped keep you upright. Pedal at your own pace for a fun workout in a gorgeous environment!

Good locations to kayak? Under the Destin Bridge is a good place to start. Of course, Crab Island is also a perfect opportunity to spend the day in a kayak and check out all it has to offer. If the Gulf is calm (early mornings are best) you can kayak right off the beach. Ask them when you reserve what they recommend, and don’t forget to check the tide charts to see when high tide is for the clearest water.
