The 8th Annual Tequila and Taco Festival in Destin, Florida is one of the area’s most popular local events — Judging solely by the sell out crowds they see every year! For 2021, the event is happening May 1 from 1pm-5pm, at the Village of Baytowne Wharf.
Attendees can sample tacos from a variety of local eateries in Destin, Florida, sample tequila drinks and shots from distributors nationwide, and participate in activities like the tortilla toss contest, Chihuahua Beauty Contest, Nacho eating contest and more.
The event kicks off with a VIP Pre-Party with extra tequila and taco samples, live music, and swag. The day of event is from 1pm-5pm with businesses set up, competing for the best taco. The weekend wraps up with a brunch date Sunday morning at a local eatery.
Attendees and vendors alike are encouraged to show up in their best outfits, and this year a Best Dressed prize will be awarded. Hats, mustaches, Tequila & Taco shirts, swimsuits – We’ve seen it all and we LOVE it all! Start planning your outfits now and plan to take the Best Dressed award home with you!
This year the event has moved to the Village of Baytowne Wharf, where vendors will be circling the main walkways of the Village, with tons of room to spread out. Drinks will be available with the tickets, but restaurants and bars will also be open if you want additional options.
Photo ops are plentiful at the event as well! Last year Happy Helium come and set up a balloon backdrop for guests to take photos with.
